Platelet-Rich Plasma

Revive, Renew, Rejuvenate with The Power of Platelet-Rich Plasma

Dermal Fillers 1
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is not a surgery. It’s a unique formula that provides a host of benefits for your health and beauty. PRP has a long history of being used in orthopedic medicine, dentistry and reconstructive surgery. Today, its benefits are being applied to other fields of medicine such as dermatology, skin wound healing, cosmetic facial rejuvenation and hair loss.
Scientific studies dating back 30 years have documented that PRP grows new collagen when injected into the skin. Newer studies also show that PRP can treat sun damage and aging skin issues.
PRP may not be the most well-known procedure choice — however, it provides some comprehensive benefits to the skin, hair and face. It can rebuild the follicles of your scalp, fill in fine lines and wrinkles and cut down on the side effects of some well-known procedures. Some previous conditions that PRP was previously used to treat include tendonitis, acute ligament and muscle injuries, joint pain, knee pain, peripheral neuropathy and arthritis. It is an alternative solution when pain relievers, prescribed medicine and risky surgeries offer no signs of relief
Whether you’re looking for PRP for hair loss in North York or another procedure in the GTA, you can find it at Miracle Beauty Cosmetic Boutique.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during the procedure?

Treatment areas are cleansed, a topical anesthetic cream will be applied to ensure your comfort. The procedure involves drawing 8ml-12ml of your blood. This sample is then carefully centrifuged to concentrate your platelets within a small amount of plasma. The centrifuge spins the blood at a range of 3800-4000 RPM for 10-12 minutes, ensuring the platelets are optimally concentrated.

For hair loss treatment, the enriched PRP is injected into the scalp through a fine needle. If you're opting for "Vampire Facials", the PRP will either be injected or micro-needled into your skin, based on your specific skin concerns. And if you're interested in top-notch microneedling without the "Vampire" aspect, our regular microneedling services are available.

What Are The Benefits of PRP?

  • Hair regeneration/hair growth
  • "Vampire Facial" (Vampire Facial with fillers)
  • Hand rejuvenation
  • Neck rejuvenation
  • Dark circles treatment
  • Scars and acne scars treatment
  • Stretch marks treatment

What are the benefits of PRP ("Vampire Facial")?

PRP Concentration of wound healing and growth factors are found in your own blood and used naturally in your body for healing (eg. cuts), to stimulate collagen production and blood supply and to improve skin quality. This includes treating skin imperfections such as fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles and scarring. In addition, a “vampire facial” creates a glowing complexion.

The treatment starts from inside-out, improving fatty layers under the skin and increasing collagen and circulation to make the face softer with a glow. PRP does not lift or tighten the skin significantly. However, it does affect the skin quality and texture.

What is A-PRP?

Dermal Fillers 2
Autologous Platelet Rich plasma (A-PRP) is a natural therapy that uses the regenerative potential contained in our platelets in order to induce tissue repair and further new tissue regeneration. A-PRP induces regeneration of the hair bulb environment, increasing blood supply and enhancing hair follicle cell proliferation — resulting in stronger, shinier hairs.

In stimulating the hair bulb environment, A-PRP provokes a natural process that results in strengthened hairs. Its natural and “autologous” quality excludes side effects.
Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma (A-PRP) injections rely on a safe and simple technique, using the regenerative and healing properties of platelets. Platelets have the ability to locally release growth factors, which are small molecules that act as messengers to initiate the process of cellular regeneration. This procedure is prepared from your own blood — which is natural, safe and reduces the risk of allergic reaction.

Is A-PRP the right treatment for your hair loss?

Two common alopecia types affect the population:

The Androgenic Alopecia: This is the most common type of hair loss attributed to hormonal imbalances, lack of nutrients, or disease. Treatment is challenging and previous therapies demonstrated low-effectiveness or side effects.

The Alopecia Areata: A rare autoimmune disease that causes spot baldness
In both conditions, A-PRP proven to be effective for the following conditions:
Androgenic Alopecia: Male and Female patients from initial to intermediate stages I-V on the Norwood scale (from stages VI to VII), A-PRP is used to help the follicle grafts survival.

Alopecia Areata: Female and male patients showing excellent results in most cases.
